LOOT

by Joe Orton

June 8 - 20, 2010

From the pen of one of the original creators of Black Comedy, this hilarious farce follows the mad antics of two young men who have robbed a bank but have nowhere to hide the money: Until - as luck would have it - one of their mothers dies and they find that her coffin is the perfecp place to temporarily store their new-gotten gains.

Relentlessly anarchic, wildly funny and as contemporary as when it first appeared in London's Beatles and Mod-crazed early 1960s, Loot will leave fans of absurdist comedy rolling in the aisles with laughter.

A Streetcar Named Desire

by Tennessee Williams

July 6 - 18, 2010

On the heels of its universally acclaimed production of Death of a Salesman, Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre brings Victoria audiences another landmark American Play.

Ooozing within the sexuality of the old New Orleans landscape, this monumental struggle between all that is brutal and vulnerable in the male and female psyche has left audiences reeling since it premiered in New York in 1947. Having featured the enormous talens of American and British stars such as Marlon Brando, Vivien Leigh, Jessica Lange and Alec Baldwin, the Victoria and Canadian theatre community will be abuzz with who will occupy the iconic roles of Stanley Kowalski and Blanche DuBois.

Be amongst the first to find out!

HANK WILLIAMS THE SHOW HE NEVER GAVE

by Maynard Collins

August 3 - 15, 2010

Thrilling audiences with its versions of "Jambalaya", "I Can't Help It (If I'm Still In Love With You)" and "Hey Good Lookin", this musical caberet has been produced throughout Canada and the US since it premiered in Ottawa over three decade ago. Set in the context of a fictional concert that happened on New Year's Eve 1951 (after this legend of country music's death), Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre audiences will have the opportunity to experience the McPherson Playhouse turned into a toe-stompin', seat thumpin', beer swillin' music hall experience as we witness the genius of a cowboy-poet who leonard Cohen placed "100 floors above him in the Tower of Song"
